Privacy policy

This policy explains how Rispri Labs collects, uses and protects personal information across risprilabs.com, our store (store.risprilabs.com), Water Channel (waterchannel.risprilabs.com), our emails and WhatsApp messages, and the RispriLabs Meta application used for WhatsApp messaging and social media management.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company, and billing or delivery details; enquiries, quotation requests, orders and training registrations; newsletter sign-ups, including the interest you choose; your email preferences; and messages you send us by email, form or WhatsApp.
Information from public business directories. We may collect business contact details (name, company, work email, phone, city and sector) from publicly available sources such as industry association and laboratory directories, and trade-fair exhibitor lists. We use these only to contact businesses about relevant services and Water Channel, and you can opt out at any time.
Information about how you use our emails. When we send emails, our email provider tells us whether each email was delivered, bounced or marked as spam, and whether it was opened or a link in it was clicked. We use this to keep our lists accurate, stop emailing addresses that bounce or complain, and understand which content is useful.
Water Channel reading rewards. If you collect Water Droplets, we record your subscription email, the days you collect droplets, your streak and your droplet total. The community pool shown on the site is an aggregate and does not identify you.
WhatsApp records. Your number, message content, message identifiers, delivery and read status, and records of marketing consent and opt-outs.
Technical information. IP address, browser, device, pages visited and similar usage information collected by our websites, analytics and service providers. Authorised Meta integrations may provide business-account and social-media content and engagement metrics within the permissions granted.
How information is used
We use information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, deliver products and services, run accounts, training and the laboratory, provide support, keep transaction records, protect our services, and understand how our websites and content perform. We send marketing emails and WhatsApp messages to business contacts and subscribers, tailor the Water Channel digest to the interest you choose, and respect the choices you make about which emails you receive.
Your email choices
Every marketing and newsletter email has a Manage your email preferences or unsubscribe link. It opens a page, secured to your address, where you can choose which emails you want: Water Channel briefs, the bi-weekly digest, Rispri Labs updates and offers, and events and training. You can also unsubscribe from all of them there. Mail apps such as Gmail also show their own unsubscribe button on our emails, which unsubscribes you straight away.
Unsubscribing stops the emails. It does not delete your information. To delete it, follow our data deletion instructions.
WhatsApp and Meta services
We use the WhatsApp Business Platform to send approved messages and to process replies and delivery updates. Meta processes information under its own terms and privacy policies. Social-media integrations help us manage our business presence and assess content performance. Connecting a business account only grants access within its authorised permissions.
Reply STOP to a WhatsApp marketing message to stop future campaigns, or contact us using the details below. Opting out does not itself delete transaction records or prevent necessary replies to your service requests.
Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal information. It is processed by providers that help us run our business, including hosting and database providers, Resend for sending emails and reporting delivery, Meta for WhatsApp and social-media integrations, and Google for website analytics. Relevant order details may be shared with delivery or payment providers. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it or where needed to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. Some providers may process information outside India.
Cookies and analytics
Our websites use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Sign-in cookies on our store keep you logged in. They are secure and cannot be read by page scripts.
- A preference cookie,
rispri_dismissed_ribbons, remembers which site notices you have closed, for 30 days, across risprilabs.com and its subdomains. - A consent cookie,
rispri_consent, remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, for 180 days, across risprilabs.com and its subdomains. - Google Analytics on risprilabs.com, our store and Water Channel measures visits and how pages are used. It loads only if you click Accept in our cookie banner. If you reject, it does not load.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking sign-in cookies will stop the store's account features from working.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, for ongoing services, and for accounting, tax and legal obligations. We keep a short record of your email preferences and opt-outs so that we continue to respect them. We use access controls and other safeguards to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the personal information we hold about you and how we use it; ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it; withdraw consent you have given; and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or are unable to. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some records may need to be kept for legal obligations, security or unfinished transactions, and we will tell you if that applies. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a concern, you can raise a grievance with us first and then complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Our services are meant for businesses, professionals and adult readers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
