Less to landfill.
More recovered.

Waste audits, material recovery, wet waste processing and legacy dumpsite remediation, designed to meet the Solid Waste Management Rules 2026.

Waste management

Why it matters now

New rules make segregation and recovery mandatory.

India generates about 1.6 lakh tonnes of municipal waste a day, and only half of it is treated. The Solid Waste Management Rules 2026, in force since 1 April 2026, require four stream segregation, make bulk waste generators responsible for their own waste and allow only inert, non recyclable waste into landfills.

Challenge and response

What the new rules mean for waste generators.

  1. 01
    The challenge

Mixed waste is no longer accepted at landfills.

    How we solve it

Four stream segregation plans with bins, signage and staff training.

  2. 02
    The challenge

Bulk generators must now process their own waste.

    How we solve it

On-site composting, biomethanation or tie-ups with registered processors.

  3. 03
    The challenge

    Old dumpsites block valuable land.

    How we solve it

Biomining separates soil, recyclables and RDF so land can be reclaimed.

  4. 04
    The challenge

Hazardous residues and sludge need safe disposal.

    How we solve it

TCLP and leachate testing in our lab and routing to authorised facilities.

Standards and regulations

Designed to the rules your auditors check.

Every design, product and report is prepared against the regulations and standards that apply to your site.

  • Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026Four stream segregation, bulk generator duties and landfill limits.
  • Hazardous and Other Wastes Rules, 2016Storage, transport and disposal of hazardous residues.
  • Plastic Waste Management RulesExtended producer responsibility for plastic packaging.
  • E-Waste Management Rules, 2022Collection and recycling targets for electronic waste.
  • CPCB co-processing guidelinesUse of RDF and wastes in cement kilns.

Where it fits

Built for the sectors that depend on it.

Why Rispri

One accountable partner, from lab bench to running plant.

Lab and engineering under one roof

Our accredited laboratory tests the water, sizes the process and verifies results after start-up. No hand-offs between vendors.

1,500+ plants and projects

Designs proven on real sites since 1999, from compact STPs for hotels to industrial ETP, RO and ZLD systems.

Compliance built in

We design to CPCB and SPCB limits with margin, and plan for OCEMS, CGWA and reuse rules from the first drawing.

We stay after handover

Chemicals, genuine spares, operator training and O&M contracts keep the plant performing for years.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Who is a bulk waste generator under the 2026 rules?

Large premises such as big housing societies, campuses, hotels, hospitals, markets and offices that produce waste above the thresholds set in the rules. They must segregate, register and process or hand over their waste to registered processors.

Can Rispri test our waste before we buy equipment?

Yes. Our laboratory measures composition, moisture, calorific value and, for hazardous residues, TCLP and leachate. The results decide the right process and size.

What happens to material recovered from biomining?

Soil like material can be used for filling and landscaping, recyclables go to recyclers, and combustible fractions are processed into RDF for cement kilns.
